kyliemacinnisx0x: Stay Strong Silver Lake. See this picture? Well, to all my followers that don’t know.. this picture is of the car accident that happened this morning, next to my school. All four of the people in that car, are members of the junior class at Silver Lake Regional High School, in Kingston, Massachusetts. I’m a junior at Silver Lake. Tonight was our junior prom. Many of my followers go to school with me, so they understand the pain I feel right now, but for those of you that don’t, I need to tell you something.  How many of you go to a school where your grade is filled with cliques? The populars, the jocks, etc. My school’s just like that. There’s arguments constantly between cliques, within cliques. We have a year left with each other, &amp; up until today, you’d hear most of us saying things like, “this school sucks.” &amp; “I can’t wait to graduate.” &amp; “I hate literally everyone in this school.” My grade, the most out of the other three, is the worst. All the grades before us were like one big family. None of us ever felt like one big family. We all have our differences. Some of us barely associate with anyone in a different clique. It’s pretty bad. Today, in the halls, after we found out that four of our fellow students had life threatening injuries &amp; were being medflighted to Boston.. our school, my grade especially, came together like I’ve never seen before. You could literally hear a pin drop in the hallway. Everyone was crying &amp; praying &amp; waiting to hear anything we could. It was horrible to watch everyone be so excited for prom one minute, &amp; the next be crying &amp; praying that their friends would survive. This was a wake up call. It made us realize that we are one big family &amp; we need to stop taking advantage of the time we have left with each other, left in high school. I used to always say, “I don’t care if I ever see half these people again.” Today, knowing that there was a chance that I’d never see the four people in that car ever again, I ate those words.  Silver Lake, especially the junior class, received a huge wake up call today. We need to look past the drama &amp; the fights &amp; live life to the fullest. Things can change in the blink of an eye. So to anyone that isn’t in my school, that feels like they have the same problem in their school, change it. Now. Don’t wait for something bad to happen to realize that high school is some of the best times of your life. I realized it today, &amp; I don’t intend on wasting anymore time. Stay strong Brendon, Eva, Aliza &amp; Monica! Love you always, xox. &amp; to the rest of my school, I love you guys, too. We can get through this &amp; make it better. 2013.
